Standing committees

Architectural

Jeff Savage and Mike Gunzenhaeuser

Reviews every exterior change before work begins. Twenty days to respond; silence is disapproval. Currently studying replacement of the exterior light fixtures, with a likely move to a single black, maintenance-free family of fixtures phased over about three years. Nothing has been decided.

Landscape and Snow

Melani Wood, with Craig Kohring assisting

Handles the landscaping and snow contracts, irrigation and seasonal plantings. This is a committee of one plus a helper, and volunteers are genuinely welcome. If you see something in the common areas that needs attention, say so early rather than at the next annual meeting.

How to reach the Board

One address reaches all of the officers and keeps a record in the association's files:

brownstonehoaperrysburg@gmail.com

Please use the association email rather than personal phones and inboxes. Formal correspondence has to be copied there anyway, and it means nothing gets lost when an officer changes.

Meetings

The association holds an annual meeting of owners each year, as Ohio Revised Code 5312.04 requires, plus board and officer meetings through the year. Approved minutes are posted in the documents area. Owners who cannot attend the annual meeting may give a written proxy to another owner.

Want to help? Both committees take volunteers, and a board seat comes up every year. Email the association if you are interested.
